I gave my 6 3/4 month old DD some of my Mars Ba...

I gave my 6 3/4 month old DD some of my Mars Bar Slice the other day and two days later she had a really bad nappy rash. Mum felt so bad but DD absolutely loved it.....Fabulous pics of her with chocolate all over her face... :-) Mum won't be letting her have that in a hurry again. A family member told me to freeze half a banana and then peel the skin and cover with a face washer and let her suck that? I have started to give her Milk Arrowroot bickies but freaked when she started to cough a little whilst eating one. I now give her Scotch Finger or Ginger nut and her Teething rusks. Can anyone give me any other suggestions for finger food please? Also is it now OK for me to try mixing a little bit of chicken in with her veges. DD turns 7 months this Saturday.
